‘Summer English Fun (FUN) Camp’ is designed to give a group of children with dyslexia the opportunities to practise English reading, writing, listening, and speaking through stories, poems, games, practices, etc.
In just six weeks in the summer of 2021, the children not only reduced their fear of English, but also showed increased interest in using English. During this period, they tried answering questions and introducing themselves in English. The most encouraging result was that at the completion of the program, all of the participating children were able to write a short story using words that they have learnt.
At the simple graduation ceremony of the Camp, students, parents and tutors were all very proud of the active participation and devotion that the students have put in. We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the tutors for their love and patience when teaching these students, making it such a memorable experience for all the students.
